The Monday After: Checkout to Departure
Staying on after the 73rd Macau Grand Prix and flying home on Monday 23 November? Spend the hours between checkout and departure at New Victoria Sauna.
If you have kept Monday for the trip home, the room key usually goes back across the hotel desk somewhere around midday, while the flight or the ferry does not leave until the evening. Plenty of people spend the hours in between on a lobby sofa, in a shopping mall or at the departure hall. You do not have to.
The 73rd Macau Grand Prix wraps up with its finals on Sunday 22 November. The next afternoon, Monday 23 November, New Victoria Sauna keeps its usual hours, which means it never closes. Therapists work a separate shift that begins at 1 p.m. and carries on until 6 a.m.
You will find New Victoria Sauna on level five of L’Arc Macau (278 Avenida 24 de Junho). Since its reopening on 29 August, a new owner and new managers have been running it their own way, with more surprises still to be announced. The floor has a bath, a sauna and a rest lounge, and meals are available on site (see facilities).
Nobody walks a runway here, and there is no set selection routine. Name the series you had already picked out on our price list, and the manager will bring each therapist currently on duty out to you in turn. Take whatever time you like. Once one of them is your choice, just say so to the manager.
Your massage takes place one to one, behind the door of a private room, on a dry massage bed: New Victoria has no waterbed. The room key is handed in and the flight or ferry is hours away, which makes this the one hour of the trip with nothing to rush: we have already worked the time out from your departure, so you only need to lie down and let her set the pace. Guests who spend their last hour in Macau here say it is the best way to end the trip.
The lounge recliners are where you go after the hour: another masseuse can add a head massage or a pedicure, and you pick what you want once you are lying there. With departure still hours away, a nap on that recliner is perfectly fine.
As of October 2026, New Victoria’s services cost between MOP 1,198 and 7,198. The whole of the therapists’ shift doubles as the all-day Happy Hour, when six set pairings are buy one, get one: a single price for two therapists, MOP 4,198 to 5,798. Every bill carries a 10% service charge on top. Our price page lists the breakdown. Actual prices depend on the venue’s menu and can differ with the treatment, its length and the time of day, with the current menu confirmed when you book.
Two things guests ask on the day they leave
My flight is in the evening. What time in the afternoon should I come?
By the afternoon the therapists are already on shift, so any time works. When you book, include your flight or ferry departure time.
If I push the trip home to Tuesday, can I stay overnight at the venue?
You can. An overnight rest area is on site, and after a paid service you may rest there for as long as 15 hours. Ask us for the specifics when booking.
When you book with us, a free private car comes to wherever you are in Macau, and your return is set up beforehand to suit your departure. Bookings made through this site also come with two free add-ons, picked on the recliner, and our advice is free. Message us via the contact page with the date (Monday 23 November), the size of your group, where in Macau you will be, which series you fancy and when you leave, and we take it from there. Once the room key is back across the desk, the afternoon no longer has to be spent waiting on a lobby sofa.
